Samadipta Mukherjee is a trained classical singer from Kolkata. She had been singing since her childhood.
Earlier, Samadipta used to take training in music by Smt. Rumpa Mukherjee, Shri Smarajit Guharoy and Shri Kalyan Chattopadhyay.
Currently, she is being trained by Smt. Subhamita Banerjee, a renowned singer of Kolkata.
Samadipta Mukherjee is very versatile singer and is well-versed in Classical, Semi-classical, Bhajan as well as Modern Songs.
She has sung for many TV serials, films and ad jungles.
She has been awarded by Jugal Srimal Excellence Award/Scholarship (2013) by Tagore Foundation & Nehru Children’s Museum, and, Dover Lane Music Conference’s Talent Search Contest for Bhajan (2017).
Recently on the occasion of World Music Day, Mukherjee created a video singing Mozart’s 40th Symphony, utilizing Indian classical music notes, and impressed none other than the singer Lata Mangeshkar!
The veteran singer took to Twitter to praised the young girl. Lata Mangeshkar tweeted, “Namaskar. Mujhe ye video kisine bheja, is ladki ne mahan Austrian sangeetkar Mozart ki 40th Symphony G Minor ko Bhartiya Sargam mein bahut sudar tarah se gaaya hai. Main isko aashirwad deti hun ki ye ek acchi gaayika bane.”
Soon after that the video went viral. It has been viewed close to 6 lakh times and has been shared over 8,600 times.
Samadipta Mukherjee was overjoyed and commented on the post, “ I literally worshipped you, respected @mangeshkarlata Ji, from my childhood! Today, I have been blessed by God herself! What else do I need! Keep showering your blessings on me, so that, I can reach higher levels in my musical journey! Pronaam!”
