Rahul and Pratyusha would mostly fight over money matters, says former maid
TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee’s former maid Renu Singh reveals few things about the suicide-murder case to police.
- “I heard them fight several times, and he would often hit her. I had tried to intervene once but she stopped me from saying anything. I then kept quiet for her sake,”
- “When Rahul was out, she would narrate her ordeal to me. She would show me the injuries she got from Rahul’s beatings,”
- “They would mostly fight over money matters. Rahul would often ask her for Rs50,000 to 1 lakh even when she did not have the money. Rahul would also suspect her and doubt her. Pratyusha’s previous relationship with a businessman was another reason for many of their fights,”
- “Pratyusha thought Saloni got the key from me. I don’t know how she got it. I quit the job then and did not even get paid.”
The police have recorded Renu Singh’s statement along with 13 others, including TV actor Kamya Punjabi with whom Pratyusha was close, she shared her concerned few days ago to her before committing suicide. They have also recorded the statement of a driver who once worked for Rahul.
