Agrima Joshua is a Mumbai-based stand-up comedian. Recently, she came into limelight after her 1-year-old controversial stand-up comedy video went viral on the social media about on the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
She is 28 year old, born on 6th January 1992. Born and brought up in Lucknow, UttarPradesh in well-to-do Christian family.
Agrima Joshua born in Army family. Her family along with her moved to Pune, Maharashtra long back. After completing her schooling from a private university, she gave a try to engineering. She moved to Mumbai to complete her engineering but quit in 2013.
She always liked poetry and comedy since her childhood and wanted to follow her passion.
Agrima is a well-known comedian and has acted in many stand-up acts. Some of her notable works are AIB, Comedy Unstoppable, Minority Quota, Standup every day – Sunday Showcase, Dark Night Comedy Show, It’s Not Even Funny, Women Slay Wednesdays, etc.
Agrima Joshua started her comedy career in 2015. She is also a producer for a digital marketing agency. One day her friend took her to open mic poetry but for a change, she discovered her interest and started doing comedy in open mic since then and gained huge popularity.
Last year on April 2019, her video went viral on July 2020, in which she made some controversial statements regarding the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj that will be going to be built in the Arabian sea.
Soon after that, Agrima Joshua was in trouble and trolled for her statement. Even the Shiv Sena party’s MLA Pratap Sarnaik demanded an arrest for disrespecting Shivaji Maharaj.
Due to this controversy, the place where she performed this act was vandalised by some political party workers.
After this, Agrima posted her apology statement on the twitter. She wrote:
