Soon after the government of India decided to ban 59 Chinese apps including Tik Tok, a desi alternative Indian app ‘Mitron’ is getting huge response from the fans and users of TikTok.

Recently ‘Mitron’ has crossed more than 10+ million downloads and 4.4 rating on Google Play Store just in few days after the Chinese App ban.

As promoted by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘VocalForLocal slogan is in trend. #TikTokBan has opened up the short-video market and several other local players are like #Chingari and #Roposo are also gaining popularity as lesser-known TikTok alternatives made in India. Mitron app promises to serve both entertainment and educational quotient and the company plans to collaborate with the government as well as private bodies active in these areas.

Mitron app founders Shivank Agarwal and Anish Khandelwal recently said, “We want to create a platform for every Indian where they can showcase true India. Going vernacular will only be the start to this journey.” The good news is Mitron app has raised Rs. 2 crores in a seed funding round from 3one4 Capital and a Letsventure syndicate led by startup investor Arun Tadanki.
